Who Will Make It Through To The Final 16? 2014 World Cup. Our Tips. Part 2.

World Cup 2014 Tips

Today we’ll have a look at Groups E to H, and give our tips on which teams will progress to the round of 16.

Group E – Ecuador, France, Honduras, Switzerland.

France’s most recent International outing was a 8-0 drubbing of Jamaica, and while that might not be the most of accurate of form guides, it does illustrate the absolute quality of their line up. It’s hard to see them being troubled by Ecuador and Honduras, though Switzerland may prove a better guide to how they’re travelling. We tip France and Switzerland to progress from this group.

Group F – Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iran, Nigeria.

Argentina’s Lionel Messi is one of the stars of the 2014 World Cup, and his team are right up there with the favourites and should progress from this group with little trouble.  Iran are rank outsiders, so it will be down to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Nigeria to battle it out for second spot. Based on team lists, we tip to Bosnia-Herzegovina to progress, though it could be tight.

Group G – Germany, Ghana, Portugal, USA.

Germany always provides class, and there can be no denying that their domestic league, the Bundesliga, is one of the best in the world, and they’re class will see them progress through here. Ghana and the USA should also provide some good competition, but Portugal have current Ballon D’or Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks, and will be our second tip from this group to go through to the round of 16.

Group H – Algeria, Belgium, Russia, South Korea.

Belgium football is enjoying a good run at the moment due to some excellentsystems that have been put in place by their governing body. They’re the clear stand out of this group, and should progress without many problems. Algeria will most likely be making up the numbers, so second place will be down to either Russia and South Korea. There’s a feeling going around that South Korean football is not at it’s peak at the moment, so Russia should go through based upon their superior playing squad.
