Premier League TransfersThe final day of English Premier League transfers has taken place, and as usual, things were fast and furious, with a number of clubs looking to make final changes to their squads before their Premier League campaigns kick off in earnest.

Following we list all the teams that were involved in trade action on the final day.

Arsenal

A couple of departures from the Gunners.

Defender Ignasie Miquel will be joining Norwich City on a 3 year deal.

Japanese winger Ryo Miyaichi is heading to Dutch side FC Twente on a 1 year loan.

Meanwhile, Danny Welbeck makes a late move to Arsenal from Manchester United on a “long term” deal. The English international could never quite crack the first team at United, and it will be interesting to see where his career goes from here.

Aston Villa

Say goodbye to Karim El Ahmadi, who returns to Dutch side Feyenoord on a 3 year deal.

Burnley

Scottish International midfielder George Boyd arrives from Hull City on a 3 year deal.

In their second signing of the day, Burnely welcome English Under-21 midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah on loan. He has been plying his trade at Nottingham Forest, while being under contract to Chelsea.

Another young player in the form of defender Michael Keane will arrive at Burnley on loan from Manchester United.

Chelsea

Young Dutch midfielder Marco van Ginkel is off for a season long spell at AC Milan. He joins another young midfielder leaving Stamford Bridge in Nathaniel Chalobah, who has joined Burnely on loan.

Crystal Palace

Defender Zeki Fryers will be arriving from Tottenham on a 3 year deal.

Scottish midfielder James McArthur comes on-board for a 3 year contract, joining from Wigan Athletic.

Forward Kevin Doyle will be joining Palace on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Striker Glenn Murray has been lent out to Reading on a 1 year loan.

Hull City

A busy day at Hull, with 5 player movements noted.

Young defender Brian Lenihan has signed from Irish club Cork City with an eye to development.

In their second piece of business for the day, Hull broke their own club record fee by signing the Uruguayan Striker Abel Hernandez on a 3 year deal. Having represented his country at this years World Cup, Hernandez should be a welcome addition to the Tigers.

Midfielder Mohamed Diame will be arriving on a 3 year deal from West Ham United.

Attacking midfielder Gaston Ramirez will be coming to Hull on a 1 year loan from Southampton.

French player Hatem Ben Arfa will arrive on loan from Newcastle United. He plays as an attacking midfielder or winger.

Leicester

Leicester did a bit of late business with Manchester United, signing forward Tom Lawrence on a 4 year deal and midfielder Nick Powell on a 1 season loan deal.

Manchester City

Defender Micah Richards heads to Italian side Fiorentina on a 1 year loan.

Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo has been loaned out to La Liga club Valanica on a 1 year deal. He shall return to training once his broken foot has recovered sufficiently.

Manchester United

There was plenty of action at Old Trafford as expected. United let some of their young talent go, while bringing in a couple of big names. Whether manager Louis van Gaal has done enough to turn around Man United’s fortunes remains to be seen.

Striker Javier Hernandez will be joining Spanish team Real Madrid on loan for one season. Should he prove a success there, the current UEFA champions have first option to buy out his contract.

The much mooted transfer of defender Daley Blind from Ajax to Man U finally takes place. A Dutch national team player, Blind is quite versatile and can also serve in the midfield. He joins United on a 4 year deal.

Manchester United conducts one of the last pieces of business for the day with the capture of AS Monaco’s striker Radamel Falcao’s signature on a loan deal, with an option for United to purchase at the end of the season.

Newcastle United

Defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is going out on loan to Italian side Roma.

Queens Park Rangers

Midfielder Sandro has joined from Tottenham Hotspur on a 3 year deal.

Croatian attacking midfielder Niko Kranjcar remains at QPR, on loan from Dynamo Kiev.

Southampton

Plenty going on at the Hamps as the club looks to rebuild their squad.

Midfielder Saphir Taider heads back to Inter Milan after Southampton cancel their loan deal with the Italian side.

Defender Jos Hooiveld is heading out on loan to Norwich City.

Belgium defender Toby Alderweireld will be arriving on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Winger Sadio Mane will join the club on a 4 year deal from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.

Stoke City

Winger Oussama Assaidi will continue his loan spell at Stoke courtesy of Liverpool.

Sunderland

A bit going on at Sunderland, with 9 signings over the summer now being registered.

Uruguayan defender Sebastion Coates will be coming to the Stadium of Light from Liverpool on loan for a season.

Another Sunderland defender, Valentin Roberge, is heading out on loan to Reim, in the French Ligue 1.

Midfielder Ricardo Alvarez will come to the club on loan from Italian side Inter Milan.

Swansea City

Swansea sign young Swedish-Gambian striker Modou Barrow from Ostersunds FK

In their second announcement for the day, Swansea have released midfielder Joes Canas, who had joined the club from Real Betis.

Tottenham Hotspur

A bit of business at White Hart lane today.

Midfielder Benjamin Stambouli will be arriving from the French side Montpellier.

Another midfielder, Lewis Holtby, is heading to Hamburg on a season long deal, with a potential sale there if he settles in satisfactorily.

Young forward Jonathan Obika has inked a deal with Swindon Town.

West Ham United

Midfielder Morgan Amalfitano has signed on for a year from French club Marseille. He was previously seen in last seasons Premier League playing for West Bromwich Albion.
